Soul Wisdom

(This article was first published in the July 2007 Metta Center email newsletter.)

When we embrace the soul's prompting to follow our inner desires and timing, the deeper wisdom of the soul is expressed.

Here is an example from a Reiki/EFT session where I had the joy to witness the soul at work. This is why I love my work: when we trust our inner guidance, everyone involved is uplifted --  it is pure magic in action!

This client had been a shy person for most of his life.  He came to our session without really knowing what to work on next. So, we decided to leave it to his Higher Self to guide us. As we did our Reiki session, I felt his inner yearning to become more of the person he is capable of being, and yet there was a voice that indicated how shy and fearful he was feeling about becoming who he really is. Here was an inner conflict about moving forward.

I mentioned this inner conflict to the client, and we agreed to use EFT to peel the onion and go to the next layer for more information.

As we tapped, what came up was a realization for him that his shyness was not about feeling afraid of being not liked, it was more the fear of being liked. There was a risk of shame, of exposure. There was a fear of being true to himself.

He contemplated that "you can't always be honest with everybody, or you will have conflict with others." We tapped out this belief with the intention to allow his inner wisdom to guide him how to be true to himself and still be in harmony with others.

What came up was a beautiful wisdom. His inner yearnings came up with solid and powerful words: "I will look for the good in others. If I can't see the positive, and are stuck in the negative, I will try to help the person."

As soon as he said that, electric currents went through me as whatever old and outdated energy patterns that were not in alignment with his higher wisdom were released. There was a profound calm and peace in his energy body.

It was awe-inspiring to witness the process. I felt extremely blessed to be able to witness the majesty of human spirit coming forth from him. I am very grateful to him for giving me the permission to share this beautiful session with you.

Keep Loving

"The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson   As I meditated today, I asked the Universe what will be helpful for me to focus on. A swift and powerful feeling of sweetness filled my heart. The message came clearly: "Keep Loving". In the spirit of that message and giving thanks to all that has supported our lives, I would like to give thanks to the Universe for you, for your unique presence in the world and for bringing your blessings to everything and everyone that crosses your paths. With appreciation, Christine  2020 has been a challenging year for pretty much everyone worldwide. Here are a couple simple self-healing tips to help you connect to more inner peace as you move through this period. A Rumi Poem: A Garden Beyond Paradise

Everything you see has its roots in the unseen world. The forms may change,     yet the essence remains the same. Every wondrous sight will vanish, every sweet word will fade.     But do not be disheartened, The Source they come from is eternal— growing, branching out,     giving new life and new joy. Why do you weep?— That Source is within you, and this whole world     is springing up from it. The Source is full, its waters are ever-flowing;     Do not grieve,     drink your fill! Don't think it will ever run dry— This is the endless Ocean! From the moment you came into this world, a ladder was placed in front of you     that you might transcend it. From earth, you became plant, from plant you became animal. Afterwards you became a human being, endowed with knowledge, intellect and faith. Behold the body, born of dust—     how perfect ...
